Mainak's a brave warrior; I've always liked him. I hope that statement doesn't reflect past tense implying that Mainak is no more. What is it about Sael and his children that's so threatening to others? Why are they feared? Is it because he bred children with humans that possess strengths from both worlds? Or is it simply greed for power and plain ole jealousy?
Kendall is a trip. Kane seems noble enough but love's a powerful emotion; a person would do almost anything to obtain it. Kane listening to Ishara sharing herself with Jason doesn't help.
Oh man, what did William Hart do? Another cliffhanger eh?! *glares*

OMG OMG OMG DAWN....Just got a chance to catch up on the story....school and the kids have kinda taking over...But Dayum Woman!
There was so much action going and these bad arse assassins had me on the edge of my seat trying to duck and move like i was in the dayum story... and eyes glued to the screen scared that i might miss a word....and i dayum near spilled my popcorn reading the fight scenes....TWO THUMBS UP on that was outstanding action.
Then all that heat and chemistry with Jovan gurlllll, hot hot hot....i need to stop reading and splash cold water on my face cuz i got heated..i was like hold up no she didnt...she did...holy shit my gurl got some skills.....For sec i was like is this a cable, cuz the pictures i had running through my mind ...LAWD.
As for the rest of the cast things are coming and movin along swimmingly arent they....Please dont let papa die just yet...I know you love the tease, thrill and cliffhanger our behinds but STOP IT....for at least on chapter...No never mind...
See but just for that little stunt you pulling on my girl Enexhi better mean that more carnage is on its way, i liked him....and just for that i am letting my fingers do the walking in the Yellow pages to find you DAWN so that i can whip your butt for the pain my girl is about to feel over the death of Azim....how could you? how could you do that to her...hasnt she been through enough?

Those assassins ain't no joke; they remind me of the Predator but much, much worse. The carnage left in their wake was horrible. And now it seems death has claimed Azim. I liked him; Enexhi will be devastated, and angry. I hope Mena escaped though. Can anything, anyone defeat them? Behind every strength there's weakness. Someone must find theirs...but who?
While Mena's voyeurism wasn't by choice, Kendall's was wasn't it? She couldn't help herself, she loves Jason and there he lay, sated, professing his love to another. Damn.
John and Evangeline - their words, their sultry chemistry - were classic Jovan. Loved it.
How much more can one man take? I'm in awe of his resolve to never become enslaved mentally. I hope the assassins' wrath befall Xavier and Lilith; no one deserves it more. Karma is a biotch!

As I reread this chapter, it occurred to me that this story would do well on screen: Star Trek, watch out. lol You've successfully captured the mix between futuristic settings, mythical creatures and the human element. The dialogue makes sense and the visual images enhance the reader's experience.
Though I loved Jovan's reunion - John feeling Van just to make sure she was real was priceless - as well as all the other relationships, my favorite scene was Enexhi and her 'family'. The entire conversation was fascinating. However, watching that assassin's hand and foot with thick yellow claws appearing through that hole had me glued to the screen. Leaving its head to the imagination was brilliant.
Patrick’s tortuous plight must come to an end. Hopefully he’ll be reunited with his sons and puhleeze let Xavier get his by the Morgans’ hand.

You’ve seeped into my skin, broken through to the center of me; become a part of my core. Do you understand that?” He had her by the shoulders now. “I will never love another”.
Damn. That's deep.
