If Van thinks she's Mrs McBain, how will they explain Lady Jane's presence during her hospital stay? oooo wouldn't that be just delicious that Lady Jane would have to suck it up as John dote's on his loving 'wife' for the sake of Van's health? And Lisa too for that matter. (He'd be a wonderful father to John Jr) I love it! One has to wonder if Van...never mind. lol

i'm glad nora is the voice of reason. i'm also glad that john has decided to focus on van (and only van) it's been a few years-being that they aren't the same people they were at the beginning of this story, can they make a go of it? i love this story because just when i think one thing is gonna happen, you go in a completely different direction. you're a great storyteller!!

I loved the end of the chapter where John yells at Lisa. It was so well deserved. I loved where John was dreaming about the life they could have...

Poor kid: John Jax Jacks! What a name. John Jr, little John, J Mac, anything's better than triple J. LOL My poor, tortured, beautiful man...does he ever catch a break? He's so lovestruck and heartbroken that he's fantasizing about an an escape to an island with his beloved. *shakes head sadly*
The scene was written very well. The hospital room, the nurses, Van's condition, John giving her a wet napkin to her lips - he'd make any situation erotic when it comes to his Evangeline - was depicted in such a way that I was looking at that hospital setting versus reading it. You took me there in that room. And Epiphany was the icing on the cake. Excellent job Daphne.
