I mentioned the possibility of this occurring in the Halle as Storm topic, I thought this might be a good topic on it's on. Basically my thoughts were, that since Marvel's movie deal with Paramount is coming to a close and Disney is going to take over, I was thinking it might be possible for us to see a Reboot of the X-Men movies in the future.

I was wondering about you're thoughts on this possibility, cast choices you'd make, and even possible plots you'd like to see.

One thing that stands out in my mind, back in middle school when Star Trek: TNG came out I always thought Patrick Stewart would have made the perfect Professor X. Honestly I also thought Kelsey Grammer would have been the perfect Beast. Interesting enough, Fox and I had the same idea.

Although I'm sure we can get a number of people for Beast, I'm kinda hard pressed for a new Professor X.

I must admit I have a hard time wondering who could play Xavier besides Stewart and also who could be Wolverine besides Hugh Jackman...

I'm curious to know who you'd cast for the other roles NoWhere_Man?

What age are we thinking about for the X-Men?
Right now, as I've said, I can see Zoe Saldana for Storm.
Dakota Fanning for Kitty Pryde (or some other X-Man. She's part of the up and coming younger crowd that has presence).
I agree that it's hard to see anyone other than Jackman for Wolverine but if we're trying to cast younger PERHAPS Jake Gyllenhall (I just saw him in the Prince of Persia trailer and he looked pretty good doing those stunts).
Maybe Kelsey Grammer could switch from playing Beast to Professor X?
It would be hard to find someone as perfect as Stewart for the part though.
Felicia Day for Jean Grey?

I think even if you're going for a younger group for X-Men, Logan is still going to need to be cast as an older guy. Because regardless of the ages, Logan is still easily over a hundred. They originally had Russell Crowe as a potential Wolverine, and given his scrapper history, I'm not surprised.

To be honest I could see a lot of people going for the part of Logan. Jackman was what really started the whole prettyboy Logan phase. Before him, Wolverine was just a grizzled, beastly lumberjack type of guy. Plus I thought Jackman's built was a bit too small to play Logan, especially his arms. Logan's got those thick treetrunk like arms. Granted Jackman had good definition in his body, but he didn't have Logan's bulk.

I'm looking around and I think I'd go with Vincent Regan. I did a few google images on him. He's got a really good black and white pick that nailed the Logan look perfectly, IMO.

Height might be the only problem. Man, why did Logan have to be so short. It's hard to cast someone that's that short and actually looks menacing.

Zoe Saldana would not be my pick for Storm. I mean, I'm glad she's the new "it" black girl and all. If you don't know what I mean, if you look currently at all the leading black woman parts in the movies coming out, she's in a good amount of them. I remember before Gabrielle Union had simular exposure. Plus, Zoe is the same height as Halle is.

I went through all of you're guys suggestions for Storm. Iman, Zoe, I honestly think Nona Gaye had the best look for Storm. Plus she's got the height at 5' 10 1/2.

Nona Gaye 1 Nona Gaye 2

Also going to other people, I was thinking maybe Jamie Chung for Psylocke.
Jamie Chung

Christina Hendricks, could pull off an (adult) Rogue.

Emmy Rossum for Kitty Pryde. Actually looking at Rossum's photos now, I think she'd be perfect for the role. Honestly, I'd pick her over Ellen Page for the third X-Men movie.

In case you guys haven't picked on, I'm going for a more mature group. Honestly, I'd like to see Jubilee in the film. I don't know why they decided to give Rogue, Jubilee's type of background. I'm guessing maybe they wanted that type of character to play off of Logan. And instead of having Rogue be another secondary character and have Jubilee fill the role. They just axed Jubilee out and substituted Rogue.

Still have to look around for my Jubilee.

And Xavier is proving to be an elusive bastard. Stewart has been my personal choice for Xavier since i was in middle school. It's hard coming up with another choice.
