X-Men Anime Season 1 (A Spoiler zone...if you don't want spoilers don't read the threads here!!)

He's in the ending credits I believe, and really he's Wolvie's biggest foe so I'd think it were a safe bet.

As far as I'm aware, the X-Men anime's only been listed twelve or so episodes? So we're coming upon the last few ones in the weeks to come, I think. Which is a crying shame; I'd love to see other X-characters! Mystique is in the end credits as well, looking gorgeous. Magneto and Juggernaut are in the endcredits, too. If only.

One thing I really love about Emma (and that a lot of people seem to forget!) is that she takes teaching seriously. She really, honestly loves her students. So I love her relationship with Hisako in this series, even if she's being far too obvious with her compassion (which is more characteristic of Storm, I would think.)

Yeah. I don't think she'd be like that in the comics... minus her relationship with the Cuckoos. They are her "prized pupils".

And then here's Storm: I'll just fry them with a couple of lightning bolts... guess I can't with the icky dude.

There's gonna be another season, isn't there? It'll be a REAL shame if there isn't. This show is certainly better than the American ones by far.

From what I know, Madhouse (that's the animation studio that's doing the Marvel anime) only got contracted for the one season. I don't know if there's been any other news on that, though.


Aw, but I really liked the original animated series! Sure, its animation is ancient but it's a classic! I grew up watching that show. Plus, Storm and Logan get to be married in an episode!

And shoot me, but I really really liked X-Men: Evo. (it is my personal headcanon that Storm and Wolvie had an unofficial relationship in that show haha)

Ugh, I HATED the original animated series. No offense or anything, but Storm's speeches REALLY irritated me. Although I did like the RoLo, but everytime Storm did one of those speeches, I was just like shoot me please... I still have to finish it on youtube, only because I LOVED Rogue in that one. She cracked me up. Evo was pretty good, but I didn't see Storm for like half of season 2. or one of the seasons. Still need to finish that one because I skipped to the last episode during either season 2 or 3.

I did like Wolverine and the X-men (thanks Lis for showing me that one!). I can't find the last episode after Angle loses his wings though. Yup, I'm so behind. I also need to catch up on some of those comics. Anyone know a good website where I can find the RoLo ones?

Looks like Storm's winning the "I'm in love with you" competition. So far, Wolverine has only gotten rescue points. I don't know whether I should count that worried look Storm gives him in ep.7

OK I watched the entire 12 eps now.
One of the reasons I dislike Hisako is that she's too Mary Sue.

Looks like a Magneto storyline is next up if they ever decide to do another season.
They've also established the start of Scott and Emma.
They better put Storm with Wolvie!

Overall, a reasonable effort.
I wouldn't watch it again but I didn't mind watching it a first time.

Now, if they start some Rolo in the 2nd season......

Agreed. It's such a shame that she's so, so different from her comic counterpart.

And yeah, it's a good set-up for another season, one concerning Magneto! Hopefully they do take that opportunity. I don't care much for this version of Emma, but I'd be interested in how they'd handle a relationship between her and Scott. And what's up with that disembodied voice of Jean, anyway?

Also, I would love to see Logan and Storm get together in a sequel (or, you know, in any series at all would be nice 8|)

Did anyone else catch the cameos of the other X-Men? If yes, did you flail as much as I did?

Okay, since I wasn't able to post yesterday, I'll post it now.

Finished the 12th episode. It was pretty good, overall my fave episode is the tenth one. "That's just a sunburn to you, right?"

They better do another season and not pull a Wolverine and the X-men (and I don't mean financially) Nancy Drew lasted for two seasons, and the Hardy boys lasted for three before pulling the plug, so I wanna see a good series like this continue on and beat Nancy and the boys.

Well, it wasn't like they didn't give off hints in the first season.

Yes Marbles. Archangel (although I don't know why they couldn't've just used regular Angel) Rogue, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Ironman? There were a couple of other marvel characters in there, I think I saw Captain Britain, but that could've been just been me.

X-men Evo, no where close. Although he did get raprimanded. And they had us thinking it in second season when Storm was kidnapped, but evaporated all those options later on.

Wolverine and the X-man upped my hopes on these two based off of the fourth episode, and Angel's episode. But then they canceled it because of financial issues

I loved the cameos myself. It was a real pleasant surprise to see Ironman and Cap Britain there! Really surprised at Deadpool, saving children and innocent citizens haha.

I really don't know if they'll be making a second season. Sure, they've set it up so that they can make one, but I know they hadn't really made plans for one. Marvel's got four anime from Madhouse so far: Ironman, Wolverine, X-Men and Blade. They hadn't really mentioned if they'll be continuing any of them.

Ororo, Logan and Charles just bore the brunt of Dani's emerging powers, waking up from nightmares. They've gathered in the kitchen where Ororo is preparing some tea, but her hands are still trembling and it's Logan who puts a calming hand on her.

Am I seeing things? Haha, likely. But still. What else were those two doing while all the X-Kids were having excellent teenage drama high school adventures?

I remember that one. I see your point a little, but I didn't see her hands trembling. Better watch it again on our dear old friend :P. Fine, two or three episodes, they gave off hints, but still. To me, they just seemed so "non-chemistry" with each other.

It's not like in Law and Order: SVU where they gave off too many OBVIOUS hints with 'Liv and Elliott, and they STILL never put them together.
