Am I the only girl that finds Wolverines yellow costume incredibly hot. I know most women now automatically think Hugh Jackman when you mention Wolverine. But I have had a a "thing" for Wolverine way before the movies which I find (not to be offensive to anyone it's only my opinion) to be complete blasphemy.

So am I alone or does anyone else dig the yellow. I think he's frigging spandexcellent!

The yellow spandex wouldn't have been 'my' first choice for a costume for a sexy bad boy like Wolvie, but he's been associated with it for so long it doesn't really bother me so much.

Oh and for the record, I think Hugh Jackman, although a cutie, is not who I wanted nor like as Wolvie. I actually think the 'first' actor they had to play Wolvie (Dougray Scott) would have been the better choice. But it is what it is.

Dougray Scott is fine. I never thought about him playing Wolverine but I can see how he would have been good too. Hugh Jackman was great and there is no "living" man that would have looked good in the classic yellow. That only works on ink and paper LOL. I wonder why the art directors back in '74 decided to make his costume yellow, since he is a very bad boy *so hot* LOL. But it's classic to me and I've loved it since I was a little girl so I guess it's just part of who he is to me.

Cyclops jokes about the yellow spandex to Wolverine in X1. Something like "would you have preferred yellow spandex?" My husband looked at me and started laughing hysterically in the theater. I just kinda slumped down in my seat.

Anyway, That's one Canadian I'd like to cover in maple syrup!

Sorry to interrupt this conversation, but I had this discussion once on my group. The ladies thought yellow was "too bright" and "too obvious" for a stealth warrior like Wolverine. The best I could explain it from my point of view is that the bright yellow makes sense to me... much like a bee, a yellow jacket, or even a poison frog from the rain forest, they use bright colors to let the rest of nature know that they have no fear and don't need to camouflage themselves.

Since Wolverine cannot be killed, and in most cases just his name or the image of him stepping out of the shadows brightly donned with claws gleaning in the darkness... should put the fear of the devil himself into any man or woman with a brain.

So the bright yellow, to me, tells everyone else "fear me for I have no reason to disguise my presence for I am deadlier than you".
