Hot damn! I just read this story from beginning to end. I've tried several times but I would get 'caught up' in trying to put faces with the supporting cast and extras such as Helena, Dina, Dinah,Celeste, Stefan, Mikkos, Alexis, Laurence, Cassadines vs. Parkers and the like - so much so that I'd abandoned the story altogether. However there's something to be said about persistence or curiosity killing the cat and I'm so glad the kitty's ummm, dead.
John and Evangeline are wonderful! I love their relationship: love, trust, respect, friendship, lovers as well as husband, wife and doting parents. Their propensity for quip remarks and intimate banter is most adoring.
Now I can appreciate their extended family and how each character enhances the camaraderie even though some alliances are strained, but I love Sonny and John together, if only to protect their women . . . by any means necessary! As for Mommy Dearest Dina and Mutha Dearest Helena, those evil witches need to stay far, far away from my fabulous McBain’s…capice!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for hanging in there & deciding to give it 1 more go-round to get into it! I was worried about having all those characters initially but, I just wanted the McBains to have a fleshed out, interactive life filled with family, friends, foes and all. Most of all I wanted Van & John's happy life to be a central theme between them that they're willing to go to the mattresses to ensure remains loving and vital.

| Great chapter! About time they got some momma and daddy time but I , like Evangeline, is wondering why Eve said she had to str8 out John about his relationship with Evangeline? I guess we will find out soon enough. Thanks for the update! |
