ch.1...Channeling Your Anger
John had had a really bad week at work.He had three cases that
he couldn't catch any breaks on and if that wasn't bad enough the
jury had returned a not guilty verdict in the Manning case.
Although he was proud of Evangeline for the amazing job she did
defending Manning,she just made his job a hell of alot harder because
they were back at square one in trying to find out who really did kill
Margaret Cochran and that poor baby.
Now he was on his way to Dr.Crosby's office for his weekly session
and he really wasn't in the mood,but if he wanted to keep his job he
had to grin and bare it.
He knocked on the door lightly and heard."Come in."
He opened the door and slowly walked in and closed it back.
"Good afternoon,John.Would you like to have a seat?How was your
week?"
John slumped down in the chair and sat silently for a moment before
saying."My week sucked.I have three cases that I can't catch a break
on and they found another suspect not guilty,which means we are
back at square one.How was your week,doc?"
Dr.Crosby started writing something in John's file and John got nervous
and said."Wait,I'm sorry.Let me try again."
"No,John I asked you how your week went and you answered me.I
do think you need to find a way to channel all that anger you have
inside you and I think I know a way to do it."
John hesitated and then said."Oh yeah and what would that be?"
Dr.Crosby looked at him with a serious look and said."Photography."
John laughed and said."Photography,you must be joking."
"Do I look like I'm joking,John?"Dr.Crosby asked
"Dr.Crosby,I don't know anything about photography."John said
"Well you're about to learn.I will lend you my camera.When you
come back next week I want to see your photos.I don't care if they
are blurry and make no sense.You better come back here next week
with reel of pictures."
John took the camera and looked at him like he was crazy.
"See you next week John.Have a good week.I can't wait to see your
photos."
John stood up and headed for the door.When he reached the door
he looked back at Dr.Crosby with a look of confusion and said."See
ya next week,doc."
John walked down the hall toward the elevator still confused about
what just happened,but he decided that he would just go with it.
