Newborn Heart
Evangeline came home after a long day at the office and after putting
her briefcase and purse down she sat down on the couch and started
going through the mail.
She flipped through it pretty fast, because it was mostly bills.
Then she got to an envelope that surprised and confused her.
The only thing on the front of it was her name.She opened it immediately because
she recognized the handwriting to be John's
She unfolded the single piece of paper and started reading.
Dear Evangeline,
I know that I've made alot of mistakes and if you'll give me a chance
I plan to make them all up to you.
The reason I'm writing this letter to you is because I've always said
that I'm not good with words.At least when it comes to speaking
them.So I hope this poem will let you know how I feel about you
and have always felt about you.
