John was sitting at the bar in Rhodi's when Todd Manning walked up to him.
Todd smiled and said."Hey McBain are you drowning your sorrows or avoiding my niece?"
John looked over at him rolled his eyes and said."A little of both."
Todd ordered a beer and when the bartender brought it to him he held it up and said."Cheers."
After a few minutes he looked at John and said."Ok McBain spill."
John looked up annoyed and said."Spill what Manning?"
"Whatever has you sitting in this dive drinking beer instead of doing what normal people do."then he laughed and said."Scratch that because there's nothing normal about you."
"Haha funny.Ok I'm desparate enough to ask you for advice.I want Evangeline back.How do I go about it?"
Todd looked at John in mocked shock and said."You're asking me for advice on how to get your ex-lover back.The same woman that you let get away so you could hook up with that skanky niece of mine."
John said."Forget it."and turned to leave.
"Wait McBain.I was just kidding.I want to help you really.I told you not to long ago that if you ever needed anything I would help you.So let me think.Ok I got it."
Todd stood up went to the jukebox pick a song grabbed a mic turned back to John and start singing.
