Rainy Day Confession
ch.1...I love you
Evangeline ran through the rain trying to get away from
John and the words he said to her.
She knew they had to be a lie because he was with
Blair now and she was with Todd and they were happy
or at least she thought he was happy.
"Evangeline wait."John yelled."Please wait."
She knew he would catch up to her but she couldn't
run anymore.
She stopped in Angel Square at the base of the statue.
John finally caught up to her bending over out of breath.
"John go away.It's all a lie.I can't handle the lies anymore."Evangeline said desparate to be away from him.
John sat next to her at the base of the statue and said."No everything I've done and said up until tonight over the past year has been a lie.Being with Natalie, a lie.Being with Blair another lie."
"Are you saying that you were just using them?"she said
"No.I never used them.Natalie was just my way of not
dealing with myself and Blair and I were together for
comfort because of you and Manning."
The rain was coming down in buckets now but neither
of them seemed to notice.
"John why are you doing this?You don't love me.You
never loved me.Just leave me alone."she said
She stood up to leave when John grabbed her arm and
turned her around to face him.
"Look at me.I do love you.I've always loved you but I was so afraid to say the words because I was afraid that I would loose you just like everyone else that I've said those words too."John said desparate to get her to believe what he was saying.
She looked at him angrily and said."Well you know what? You did lose me."then she snatched her arm away and turned to leave.
"I know I did and God forgive me for what I'm about to
say but losing you the way I did was worse then the
way I lost my father and Caitlin because they're dead
you I have to see everyday.I just can't stand by and
let the best thing that has ever happened to me slip
through my fingers because I was afraid to tell you how
I felt."John said
Evangeline stood there silent for what seemed like an
eternity so John continued."I know that I have made a
lot of mistakes.All I'm asking for is a chance to make
them all up.To make things right again.Can you give me that chance?"
"John have you forgotten that I'm with Todd now?"she asked
"No but can you honestly tell me that he makes you
feel what you felt when we were together?Can you
honestly tell me that he can make your toes curl like
I did?Or that he makes your heart race like I know it's
racing now."John said
"No but."she said
"No buts."John said before pulling her into his arms
for a mindblowing kiss with the rain soaking their
clothes and skin.
"John please we can't do this."
"Yes we can."he said going in for another kiss.
She wanted to push him away but at the same time
she wanted to hold him forever.
"John we shouldn't do this."she said
He smiled because she was weakening.
He pulled her in for another kiss and before she knew
what was happening they were on the ground next to
the statue in a heated embrace and sharing a kiss
that would melt a house of solid gold bricks.
They stayed that way for several minutes til they relized
that it was about to go to far so they stopped it and
John said."What do you say we continue this in a
private place?"
She smiled and said."I think that's an excellent idea.
Do you want to go to your place?"she asked
"No that place is to full of the worst part of my life.My
relationship with Natalie."John said
"Ok where do you want to go?"
"How about The Palace?"John said smiling remembering the time they made love in the elevator.
"Perfect."she said remembering the same thing.
They ran to John's car and drove to the Palace for a night of unforgettable love making.
