A Love Like No Other
Evangeline was working on her latest case when her
phone rang.
"Evangeline Williamson."she said
"Hey Vange.Turn on your radio to KDLR."Layla said
"Why?"
"Just do it.Bye."
"Bye."Evangeline said hanging up.
She turned on the radio and heard.
"Alright everybody we've got a very special guest in the
studio today.Ladies and Gentlemen Mr.Darryl Worley."
"Hey Llanview how's it going."
"So Darryl I understand you have a very special request
to kick off the afternoon."
"Yeah this is a request from my buddy John McBain.He
wants me to sing a very special song for the woman he
loves."
"That's beautiful.Can you tell us her name."the dj said
"Natalie Buchanan."Evangeline mumbled.
"Yeah her name is Evangeline Williamson."Darryl said
Evangeline started at the radio stunned.
"He asked me to read this letter first though."
Evangeline said silently and he started reading.
Dear Evangeline,
You probably won't believe it when you hear this but I
love you.You are the most amazing woman I've ever
known and you are the first person in a long time that
has ever truely made me happy.
If you will give me a chance I want to make up for all
of the mistakes I've made since we met.
Listen to this song and then if you miss me as much
as I miss you please meet me in Angel Square by the
statue.
I know that it will take a lot of work to make up for
everything that I've done but I'm going to do whatever
it takes.

When he finished the letter he started strumming his
guitar and then sang.

When he finished the song Evangeline reached over
and turned the radio off with tears in her eyes.
She sat silently for a few minutes trying to decide if she
should trust what she was feeling in her heart.
Finally she stood up and walked out of her office and
headed to Angel Square.
When she walked into the Square she found John pacing back and forth with a picnic lunch behind him.
"John."she said
He turned around and smiled."You came.Does this mean you're willing to give us another chance?"
"Yes on one condition."
"Anything."John said
"You have to promise that you will be open and honest
from now on.No more secrets."Evangeline said stepping closer.
His smile got even wider and he said."I will be a complete blabber mouth.You won't be able to shut me up."
Evangeline walked into his arms and said."I love you John and I missed my friend too."
"You're my best friend Evangeline.I love you."John said
"John.Shut up."Evangeline said
"Ok this is me shutting up."John said
He leaned in and kissed.Then they sat down for a romantic picnic lunch and spent the rest of the afternoon with their best friend.
