In The Heat Of The Night
It was the hottest night of the summer.You know one
of those nights when you just want to take off all of
your clothes collapse on the bed and never move again.
I walked into my room after being downstairs sharing
drinks with Evangeline.
Like I said it was the hottest night of the summer and
the only thing in my room that I could use to cool me
off was an old fan sitting on my dresser.
I walked over and turned it on getting my face as close
to it as I could.
Just as I was starting to cool off there was a knock at
the door.
I sauntered over opened the door and there she was.
She smiled at me and said."I accidently picked up
your paperwork."
I looked at her.Then I took the paperwork glanced at
it and thought to myself."There are no accidents
baby."
I tossed the folder aside and pulled her into my arms
and from that moment on she was mine.
I turned us around and closed the door with my foot.
We only broke the kiss long enough for her to take
off her shoes.Although I wouldn't have minded her
leaving them on and so I could take her blouse off
before pulling her into another seering kiss.
Then she looked at me with this wicked expression
and pushed me down on the bed.
The next thing I knew she was crawling toward me
like a wild cat.
She straddled me and leaned down capturing my lips.
When she sat back up I looked at her and couldn't
take it anymore I had to have her.
I sat up, putting my hands in her amazingly soft hair
I pulled her back down and we rolled over on our sides
with our legs wrapped around each other.
Before long we were both naked with sweat rolling off
our bodies but it wasn't from the heat of the night.It was
from the heat of our passion.
I had her pinned to the bed trailing kisses down her
body.
When I reached her sweet center she screamed."Oh
God John please I can't take it anymore."
That's when I knew she was ready.
I moved back up and hovered over her.
She looked at me through glazed over eyes and in
one fluid movement I entered her.
She gasped at the invasion but recovered quickly.Then
she started meeting me thrust for thrust.
After about fifteen minutes we both came together.
When I pulled out I said."Did you know that you're the
first woman I've been with since Caitlin?"
She smiled and said."That sounds serious McBain."
He smiled shyly and said."Maybe it is.I don't know
yet."
"Whatever this is.I can't deny that something happens
to me whenever we're together."Evangeline said
"I never saw it coming."I said.
"Me neither.If I would've I probably would have run the
other way."
I paused before saying."You don't run."
"So, so is this somewhere we come to when things
get too complicated out there."
"I'm not sure I'm ready for anymore than that.Yet."
I was stroking her soft beautiful leg and she said."You're not the rebound guy.When we first got together in Mary's basement RJ and I were still together."
"Unusual circumstances."I said
"Close quarters danger.A very attractive man."Evangeline said
"Very beautiful woman."
"Frankly,frankly I'm glad that you said you can't handle
more than I sometime thing right now.Because I'm not
sure that I can either."
I swallowed and said."Someone that cared about me
before.I thought I was more available than what I was.
I tried to be more clear.I just didn't know how.I don't
want to hurt anyone again."
"We're both adults.Why don't we just take things day
by day you know?Keep it simple.No commitments."
"Yeah, keep it simple."I said
"Sounds good.So I'm glad we settled that.So."
"Yeah me too."
"Ok well I guess I better get out of here."
I said."Ok."
Then when she started to get up I grabbed her shoulder pulling her back down on the bed and said."Just as long as we understand each other."
Then I pulled her into my arms for another steamy kiss.
A few minutes later we walked out onto the front stoop
of the hotel and I said."You sure you don't want me
to walk you home?"
She smiled and said."I'm sure, I'm sure.Thanks for
another unexpected evening."
I smiled shyly looked around and then gave her a very
tender kiss good night.
"See ya."she said
"Yeah see ya."I said
She started to walk down the steps when I stopped
her and said."Wait."
"What's wrong?"she asked
I paused then said."I don't want you to go.I don't know
how it happened so fast but I've fallen in love with you."
She smiled pulled me into her arms and said."I love
you too John."and pulled me into another kiss.
When we pulled back I said."Come back upstairs with
me?I'm not ready to let this evening end.I want to hold
you in my arms all night long."
She smiled took my hand and followed me back upstairs.
Suddenly I woke up turned to look next to me.I saw
Natalie lying next to me and said."Why am I with
this woman when I should be with the woman I love.
I love you Evangeline."
At the exact same moment Evangeline woke up and
looked next to her to see Cristian lying beside her
and said."Why am I with this man when I should
be with the man I love.I love you John."
They both drifted back to sleep deciding that tomorrow
they were going to start finding their way back to their
soulmate.
