Why Didn't I Ask
There are so many things I
wanted to ask and never did.
Silly things like what is your
favorite color or what is your
all time favorite movie.
I remember finding a book of
poetry by Yeats under your
bed and wondered why I never
knew that you liked it.
There are so many insignificant
things that I never asked back
then and now that your gone
I would give the world to be
able to sit and ask you about
them.
There are so many things
about you that I'm going to miss.
Like your smile and your bad jokes.
It was so hard to get you to open
up and talk about your feelings but
when you did it was very special.
I don't know why I kept this box of
your stuff.I guess it was because
I thought you would come back for
it someday.Now someday will
never come and I am just so glad
that I never gave it all back.
Now I sit here with your favorite black
t-shirt in my hands crying and all I can
think is why didn't I ask.
I will miss you so much my sweet funny
friend and I will never forget everything that
we shared.
